Competition Information

In the 2003 Sweet Adelines Region #4 contest, Capital City Chorus won second-place medals with a high-energy performance that resulted in the highest scores we have ever achieved. The score earned us a "wild card" berth in the 2004 International Competion held in Indianapolis in October 2004. Capital City Chorus performed"For Evaluation Only" in Region #4's spring 2004 Regional Competition. The comments and scores from the judging panel were outstanding, and provided invaluable direction for us as we prepared for the International Competition in Indianapolis last October.

We were also delighted with the wonderful performances by our three chapter quartets: Once in a Lifetime (fifth place medalists), Presto! (sixth place), and le crem. In addition, one of our chorus members, Lu Senter, competed with the Off Senter quartet in the recent contest in our neighboring Region #5, where they finished in the top 10. Another CCC member, Esteline Bradley, holds dual membership with our chorus and Metro Nashville (Tennessee) of Region 23, and performed with both choruses in their respective regional contests.
