2005 Region #4 Chorus Competition
In the 2005 Sweet Adelines Region #4 contest, Capital City Chorus again won second-place medals after a performance that brought the audience to its feet. Capital City Chorus performed "Original Dixieland One-Step" as the uptune and "Back Home Again in Indiana" as the ballad. While the chorus was assessed a time penalty, the members were thrilled with the judges' comments.
Three chapter quartets also gave their best onstage: Classic Connection, Presto! and Once in a Lifetime (third-place medallists). In addition, one of our chorus members, Lu Senter, competed with the Off Senter quartet in the recent contest in our neighboring Region #5. Another CCC member, Esteline Bradley, holds dual membership with our chorus and Metro Nashville (Tennessee) of Region 23, and performed with both choruses in their respective regional contests.
